On Thursday January 23rd, the L.E. Shore Library will be hosting a Coffee House event from 6-8pm. 
This is a wonderful opportunity for emerging artists to take centre stage and experience what it's like to perform for a live audience.
If you are a musician, writer, poet or comedian than this event is for you!

Registration required for those interested in participating in the event.
All you have to do is register by clicking on the the Sign-Up button below. 
Registration deadline is Tuesday January 21st by 8pm.

A Celebration of women and Girls

Location: L.E. Shore Library.

Join us at the L.E.Shore Library Thursday, March 5th at 7:00pm for a wonderful presentation celebrating International Women’s Day,  led by Rosemary McCarney. Rosemary is the former Ambassador to the United Nations in Geneva and the Conference on Disarmament, returning to Canada in October. She is past President and CEO of  Plan Canada which is one of the largest international development agencies in Canada. 
After working with organizations like the World Bank, Canadian International Development Agency, the UN, and Street Kids International, 
Rosemary moved to Plan Canada, where she led the call for the International Day of the Girl and spearheaded the Because I am a Girl initiative.
Rosemary McCarney is also the author of:several children’s books:

Sidewalk Astronomy with the RASC

Time: 11:00pm - 12:30pm

Location: L.E. Shore Library.

Meet us at the L.E.Shore Library Wednesday, March 18th from 11-12:30 pm, for an oppurtuity to see our closest star through a telescope. The RASC will be here and if the skies are clear they will have a telescope set up to show you sunspots and solar flares on our Sun, and show you how to safely observe the Sun at home.

Galaxy Slime Workshop with August Banks
