Digital Cartooning: Creating a Holiday Comic Strip

Adventures in Digital Arts for Youth

Saturday January 8, 2022 - Saturday May 14, 2022

Time: 10:00am - 12:00pm

Location: The Gallery at L.E. Shore.

This free monthly session will explore storytelling techniques in digital cartooning and digital video. Topics will include drawing with Apple Pencils on iPads, creating short films with iPads and 360 cameras. A fun filled session featuring local award-winning cartoonist Jeff Wilson and local filmmaker Tom Strnad. Ages 8-13 (6 Students Total).

Intro. to Digital Editing

Tuesday January 18, 2022

Time: 10:00am - 12:00pm

Location: L.E. Shore Library.

This in person session will explore digital video editing using Blackmagic DaVinci Resolve
free editing software and MacBook Pro computers. Topics will include getting a project
started, importing footage, creating an editing sequence and basic editing tools. Taught by
award-winning editor and filmmaker Tom Strnad. Perfect for a beginner or intermediate
looking to learn more about this software. Ages 13+ (4 Students Total)

COVID 19 - Creator Space Policy Update for 2022
Of important note, all in person workshops will be taught by fully vaccinated instructors and
all attendees must be fully vaccinated, as per the 5+ age access now. Anyone not able to fulfill
this requirement can access online sessions or pre-recorded sessions.We will be using the
Verify Ontario App and this will apply for all of 2022.

Location: L.E. Shore Library.

This in person session will explore 360 Video VR production techniques for filming in 360
video and editing 360 videos with iPads to create immersive VR videos. Join filmmaker Tom
Strnad as he demonstrates the GoPro Fusion 360 Camera and Kodak PixPro 360 Camera,
both available as technology loans from the library. Ages 13+ (4 Students Total)
