Learn how to sit, bend and lift pain-free. Learn effective exercises to improve muscle tone and release tension and pain in the neck, shoulders and low back. This is an experiential workshop so dress in comfortable clothing. We will do the exercises sitting in chairs and standing.

The Colourful Brush: The Marsh Street Artists

The Arts and Culture Council presents recent works by the Marsh Street Artists.
The artists meet every Tuesday morning at the Marsh Street Centre in Clarksburg to paint, learn, and critique each others work.  The resulting artwork is pleasing and inspired; come see what these talented artists have produced!

The opening reception is Saturday, September 28th from 2-4.  This is a licenced event.

The Colourful Brush is exhibiting from September 28th to October 31st.  The Gallery is open during library hours.

The Stars In Your Night Skies

Coffee Break Fundraiser

The L.E. Shore Library is proud to announce that we will be participating in the Alzheimer Society of Grey and Bruce County Coffee Break Fundraiser. Coffee Break® is a major nationwide annual fundraiser where friends, co-workers and customers gather in communities across Canada to raise funds for their local Alzheimer Society.

In order to support this endeavor we will be taking donations at the front circulation desk from Monday October 14 – Friday October 18. Then come in on Thursday, October 17 from 1-3 pm and enjoy a fresh, complimentary coffee on us!

All proceeds will be donated to help those suffering from dementia and help support our local community programs.

The Northwest Passage in Story and Song with David Newland

In celebration of Ontario Library Week, The Library & Gallery at L.E. Shore presents an evening of photography, storytelling, and live original songs, with David Newland.

Singer-songwriter David Newland is a veteran performer on the Ontario folk scene who also works as an expedition host and Zodiac driver with Adventure Canada. In 2015 he was named a Fellow of the Royal Canadian Geographical Society, a distinction reflecting a lifetime of engagement with landscape and story.  David Newand’s performance conveys the emotional and spiritual impact of Arctic travel.

iPad Back to Basics

This new iPad class is for beginners and veterans alike who want to learn more about using their iPads. We will delve into Settings, including how to update your iPad for the latest iOS (if possible) then discuss some recent changes. We will also look at how you can enable dictation for some apps so you can speak and the iPad will type. We will also discuss how Siri can be used to perform some voice commands. Finally, we will look at how to use the Calendar App. No prerequisite is required.

Maximum registration is 6 people. Instructor: Darrell Noseworthy. The cost for this program is $15 upon registration. Please visit or call the Library to make payment. The library accepts cash, debit, cheque, Visa and Mastercard. Note: Cancellations must be made 48 hours in advance for a refund.
