Three local Georgian Bay artists present a colourful collection of smaller works rendered in various combinations of ink, graphite, and watermedia.
"It all starts with an inkling, a slight suggestion, a vague idea or notion.
An inkling is important. It is the starting point of creative work. Like a tickle or an itch in the brain, a small idea forms that needs to be explored and expressed.
Many of our works begin with a sketch or careful drawing in ink, to which watercolour washes are added. Some will remain small sketches and some will lead to larger paintings.
We have adopted the word “inkling” to use as a name for our small paintings featuring India ink with gouache resist".
