Join Karen Clegg as she recounts her childhood spent in Rhodesia.  Karen was born and raised in Rhodesia, which became Zimbabwe-Rhodesia (for a brief time), then Zimbabwe. "If you were born prior to 18 April, 1980, raised in a country that has a few names, but most importantly, Rhodesia, you are part of a group fondly known (by some) as the ‘Last of the Rhodesians’."

Karen Clegg was born in Rhodesia in 1969, it was renamed Zimbabwe-Rhodesia for a brief period, and then renamed again in 1980 to Zimbabwe. She calls herself a fourth generation ‘Zimbabwean’, who grew up during the Rhodesian war.  Join Karen as she talks about the crisis in Zimbabwe under the 37 year Mugabe dictatorship.  Karen is passionate about where she comes from, wanting to share the best of her heritage and in November 2020 she plans to lead a private 10 person tour in Southern Africa.

Today, she shares with us the story of growing up as a child in Rhodesia.
