Penny Sale Auction

Location: L.E. Shore Library - 173 Bruce St. S., Thornbury.

Join in the fun-raiser all month long!  With the help of our amazing community we have brought together some unique items and experiences for the Penny Sale.  Drop in to see what is in store for this event.  Tickets for the sale are $5.00 for a sheet of 25 tickets or $10 for three sheets. 

Funds raised will help us make our next documentary films.  The draw will be held on February 29, at 4:00, LE Shore Library.

Yoga for Kids

Yoga for Kids!

Every Monday from 3:30-4:30pm in The Gallery at L.E. Shore Library.
Join us to learn the basics of yoga for kids with certified yoga instructor, Charlene of Mantra Yoga Studio.
Ages 6 and up (Children under the age of 8 must be accompanied by a Guardian to the program).
Cost is $40 for the session.  Session runs Monday January 13th - Monday March 9th, 2020
(please note there is no Yoga for Kids on Monday January 27th, 2020)

Hip Hop for Kids with Sharin!

Every Friday from 3:30-4:30pm in the Gallery at L.E. Shore Library.  Learn a variety of different hip hop dance styles set to fun, contemporary pop music.  Hip hop dance is a great activity for kids. Whether your child is a boy or girl, they’ll learn a variety of interesting and challenging dance moves.

Session 1 runs from Friday January 10 - Friday March 13, 2020.  Cost is $50/session. Suitable for ages 8 and up.

Please note, there will be no class on Friday January 31st.

Tour of the Universe Planetarium

Monday March 16, 2020

Location: L.E. Shore Library - 173 Bruce St. S..

The Blue Mountains Public Library and the Ontario Planetarium will be kicking off March Break 2020 with with an amazing tour of stars, planets, moons, comets, galaxies, meteor showers and the Northern Lights. https://ontarioplanetarium.com/presentations/show-tour-of-the-universe/

We will have a planetarium set up in The Gallery at  L.E. Shore and there will be 3 showtimes to choose from: 11:00 am, 1:30pm or 2:30pm.

This amazing experience is open to all-ages and is also wheelchair accessible 

Tickets are $5.00 per person and can be purchased at the L.E. Shore Library.  We definitely recommend getting your tickets in advance, as this event is guaranteed to sell out.

Sidewalk Astronomy with the RASC

Location: L.E. Shore Library.

Meet us at the L.E.Shore Library on Wednesday, March 18th from 11:00am-12:30 pm, for an opportunity to see our closest star through a telescope. The RASC will be here and, if the skies are clear, they will have a telescope set up outside to show you sunspots and solar flares..  You can also learn how to safely observe the Sun from home.
