10 Cool Things You Can Do On Our New Website

We’ve redesigned our website!  Read on to see what you can do:

  1. Join the Library! You will need a library card to access content on our new website. You can now apply for a library card online then all you need to do is grab your ID and come to the library to pick up your card and start browsing the collection.
  2. Download free e-books to your computer, tablet or phone. There are currently over 10,000 e-book titles available for download. Call us or make an appointment with our tech consultant, for help getting set up if you need it.
  3. Listen to free digital audio books while driving the car or doing some other unenjoyable task.  Download to a device or stream.  Try out Keith Richard’s biography read by Johnny Depp.
  4. Search great subscription databases like Chilton’s Library (yes, DIY auto repair). Or online encyclopedias and other homework help. Don’t worry, we’ll remind you again in September.
  5. Sign up online for a library program. The Event Calendar shows you exactly what’s going on and if you see something you like, sign up online.
  6. Get email updates. Choose from one or more topics: general, staff reviews, children, teens, or art gallery.
  7. Find a good book using recommended reading lists and staff reviews. Did Emma like Gone Girl? Read a review, and post your own thoughts on the book in the comments section.
  8. Put a new novel or movie release on hold. If it’s in, you have 7 days to pick it up.
  9. There is such a thing as online chat reference help and we’ve got it! Look for the askON Live Chat icon.
  10. Book the Gallery or library board room for or your meeting or community event. Our space looks great and it’s a great deal.

The new website was designed and developed through a grant from the Trillium Foundation. Thank you, Trillium!
