Additions to Children's Programming at L.E. Shore, May 2016 to present

The Blue Mountains Public Library has always been a welcoming, safe space for children. Both branches, LE Shore Memorial Library and the Craigleith Heritage Depot, provide programming for ages 0-18 years including directed and self-directed play, encouraging early literacy, and fostering a life-long love of libraries.

From May 2016 to date, the Blue Mountains Public Library staff has:

New Programs for Youth 2016/2017
After-School Kids Club (twice a week for the school year)
Angry Birds – craft, games and movie night
Baby Play Time – sensory play time for babies
Borrow Snowshoes
End of Summer Party – popsicles, outdoor games and crafts for school aged children
Monthly Teen Photo Contest – each with a different theme
Family Games Night

Family Glow in the Dark Games Night

Holiday Crafternoon
Holiday Lego and Games Party (held twice during the winter break)
Observatory Nights – children, youth and adults
