KARIOS Blanket Exercise in honour of National Indigenous Peoples Day

Friday, June 21, 2019 6:00pm - 8:00pm
Location: LE Shore Memorial Library, Gallery - 173 Bruce Street S., Thornbury

This hands-on workshop will help participants gain understanding of colonization and its impact on the land and its Indigenous peoples. Strong White Buffalo Woman, Elder - Ojibway of the Saugeen and a team of facilitators from Grace United Church will lead the participants through the exercise.  You will explore the nation-to-nation relationship between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples in Canada, understand how it has been damaged over the years, and how together we can work toward reconciliation.

All ages are welcome to participate.
