Spend your March Break with us! Our awesome lineup includes Intro to Coding, LEGO Building, Blockbuster Movie Matinee, a Reptilia Stage Show, and so much more! The Blue Mountains Public Library has activities for all ages during the school break (March 12th to 16th, 2018) and plan to keep kids dancing, learning, and laughing all week long.

On Monday, we kick off March Break with HOUR OF CODE, designed to demystify computer coding and show that anybody can learn the basics. Join us for a one-hour coding challenge to give youth a fun introduction to computer science.
Monday March 12th 10:30-11:30 AM. Ages 7-12.  Register online. FREE.

Tuesday will feature LEGO & GAMES.  Drop-in to our kids' makerspace and explore your creative side. Build your own design out of LEGO - we supply the materials or you can bring your own. We also have plenty of fun, family board games for everyone to enjoy. Tuesday March 13th 10:30-11:30 AM. All-ages, childen under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Drop-in. FREE

Wednesday is Movie Day!  Come out and to our NEW RELEASE MOVIE MATINEE on Wednesday March 14th 2:00-4:00 PM and be the first to watch a brand new release movie before it is added to the Library collection.  Help us pick the movie: Coco or Wonder?  Visit our Facebook page to vote. Drop-in. FREE.

Thursday is for the special event, REPTILIA STAGE SHOW. Would you like to meet an Alligator? How about a Python? Reptilia features these animals and more! Learn about them, pose with them, and maybe even pet them!
Thursday March 15th 10:30-11:30 AM. All-ages, childen under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult.
Tickets are only $2/person and are available at L.E. Shore Library or Craigleith Heritage Depot

Our grand finale on Friday is the DJ DANCE PARTY!  Time to break out those dancing shoes. Our DJ Dance Party, features our local young DJs who have been learning the Art of DJing at the Craigleith Heritage Depot.Everyone is welcome. Friday March 16th 2:00-4:00 PM. FREE

And for the little ones, Friday also features FAMILY STORY TIME. Meet us in the Story Tower for a Story, Crafts, Sensory Activities. Friday March 16th 10:45-11:30 AM. Ages 0-5 years, older siblings are welcome to join in.

L.E. Shore Library Temporary Closure

The L.E. Shore Library will be closed for repairs Tuesday Oct 4th until mid-November. We will have a temporary location, with a small collection, at Town Hall (32 Mill Street) in Council Chambers, opening Tuesday October 11th.

This summer, we will be hosting the TD Summer Reading Club and Children's Summer Programs throughout the week, every week! Join us and register for programs and the Summer Reading Club at our “Kick-Off” Party Thursday June 30th from 2-4pm in the L.E Shore Memorial Library Gallery. For ages 2-13 years. (Pizza will be supplied by New Orleans Pizza, so bring your appetite!)
