Tales from the Bruce Trail Conservancy Friendship Trail

Costa Rica Calling ~

Join us in the Gallery, Tuesday, May 30th at 7 pm, when Ros Rossetti and Mike Osborn will introduce the Friendship Trail in Costa Rica that is linked with the Beaver Valley Bruce Trail.  Find out about the worldwide Friendship Trail Program and share the adventures of committed Bruce Trail volunteers who helped improve and extend the Sendero Pacifico Trail – the Pacific Slope Trail.

The Bruce Trail Conservancy’s Friendship Trail Program started in 2011 with the twinning of a section of the Bruce Trail in Caledon with the South Korean Jeju Olle Hiking Trail.

In 2015, the Beaver Valley Bruce Trail Club was offered the opportunity of twinning with the Sendero Pacifico – the Pacific Slope Trail – in Costa Rica.

After attending the inauguration ceremony and hike in Costa Rica in July 2015, and discovering that the Sendero Pacifico was still under development, Ros resolved to return with a group of Bruce Trail volunteers to assist with improving and extending the Sendero Pacifico.

All are welcome.
