Musical Mâché Masterpieces Workshop

Sunday, November 4, 2018 12:30 pm - 3:30 pm

Back by popular demand!  Create a paper mâché masterpiece with artist Roisin Cadieux using beautiful old sheet music.  Prepared canvasses, glue and paper will be provided; please bring scissors and an apron.

Artist Roisin Cadieux will be leading another workshop using the simple elements of paper and glue.  Roisin describes the method:

"The palette you use is paper.  I have an extensive collection of musical scores and folios from the 19th and early 20th century.  There are many paper variations and musical notations, providing a treasure trove to make your art! The workshop will be an exciting afternoon of poring through the music, cutting, and pasting in a paper mâché technique onto pre-prepared canvasses. The canvas surface will have four dry coats upon which you assemble the final layer with your creative vision. The typesetting of sheet music, and colourful song covers, are as inspiring as the music itself.  Everyone has their own flair in paper work of this kind; it’s both awe-inspiring and enchanting to see what different people create!"

Cost is $25.00.  Pre-registration is required. Go to: https://bit.ly/2E9t9WT
