Archeion

Search Archeion to find records of businesses, individuals, families and organizations from all periods of the province's history (Ontario). The archives described include photographs, diaries, minute books, church registers and municipal records.

Archives of Ontario

The Archives of Ontario is the second largest archives in Canada and provides a window into the past for all Ontarians, connecting us with our ancestors, our communities and our government. Access a unique and multi-faceted collection that includes records dating back to the late 16th century and contains everything from hand-written ledgers to electronic files, hand-drawn maps, architectural drawings, photographs, films and sound recordings. Includes online databases, exhibits, research guides and more.

Browse the directory by location covering the Thornbury Clarksbury Union Cemetery. Includes photographs of gravestones.  

Canadian County Atlas Digital Project

A searchable database of the property owners' names which appear on the township maps in the county atlases. Township maps, portraits and properties have been scanned, with links from the property owners' names in the database. Created by McGill University.

Censuses - Library and Archives Canada

A database of Canadian censuses from 1825-1926 available online. Transcripts of multiple local censuses available to view in person at the Craigleith Heritage Depot as well.

Early Canadiana Online

The most complete set of full-text historical content about Canada, including books, magazines and government documents  This includes material published from the time of the first European settlers to the first half of the 20th century. Content spans 21 languages, including French, English, Latin, Greek, and many First Nations languages.
