#3. Deep Blue By Jennifer Donnelly

Posted: by Jaydon on October 12, 2016

Hey Readers! The L.E. Shore Memorial Library is closed for roof repairs until mid to late November. But not to worry! The Craigleith Heritage Depot will have temporarily extended hours until the re-opening of the library. Also, the L.E. Shore library has opened a temporary location at the Blue Mountains Town Hall and my fall reads are there.

#3. Deep Blue By Jennifer Donnelly

Deep Blue is a must-read!  The contrast between Serafina’s life as principessa and who she becomes when she’s forced to hide is impeccable. Told from the point of view of a mermaid, this story will leave you wanting more!  I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did.

Serafina is the daughter of Regina Isabella, Queen of Miromara.  While preparing for her Dokimi (a very ancient and important ritual performed by the Principessa to show that she is the true heir and not an imposter) Serafina starts having dreams warning her of an ancient evil.  Pushing her bad thoughts aside she continues to prepare.  Then in the middle of the Dokimi, the city is attacked and her mother is shot with a poison arrow.  Forced into hiding and running for her life with her best friend Neela, she begins to follow where her dreams are trying to take her. Serafina and Neela don’t know what they’re getting into and discover the dreams might not be dreams at all.

Find out what Serafina and Neela have in store for them in “Deep Blue”!

Happy Reading!
