Teen Book Review - Flutter by Gina Linko

I was drawn to this book when my dad was doing videos for kids with epilepsy.  Curious to what those kids might be going though, I found this book that is told from Emery’s point of view. I don’t know for a fact that this is what those kids feel like, but it definitely put things like that into focus for me. Enjoy!

This is the incredible story about Emery Land, a girl who suffers from seizures. (as Emery calls them “Loops” into the future) It’s been that way for as long as she can remember. Unfortunately Emery’s father can’t see the spiritual nature of the seizures, he only believes the cold, hard, scientific facts that the doctors tell him.  Emery decides that the only way to find out what these loops mean is to try and follow them wherever they may take her. She ends up in a small town on the upper peninsula of Michigan, where she meets Asher, a boy trying to escape issues from his own past. Follow Emery and Asher as they discover what the future has in store for them!
