#1. Walk On Earth A Stranger By Rae Carson

Posted: by Jaydon on February 24, 2017

Hey Readers! I hope everyone's been enjoying this wonderful weather! I guess Willie and Sam were right, we're in for an early spring! Anyway, here it is...#1 on my list...Walk On Earth A Stranger By: Rae Carson! Keep an eye out for my next review, "A Mad Wicked Folly" By Sharon Biggs Waller.

#1. Walk On Earth A Stranger By Rae Carson

Copyright: 2015

Genre: Historical Fiction/Supernatural

This book is set during the years of the California Gold Rush (1848-1855) when hundreds of thousands of people flocked across the U.S hoping to find riches of their own.  Since they didn’t have the technology that we have today to help mine gold, they panned for it. It’s a wonderful historical novel with a supernatural twist.  I hope you like it as much as I did!

Leah “Lee” Westfall has an unusual ability to sense gold.  During the Gold Rush this sixth sense is very dangerous for the person who controls it.  When a tragic event leads her to discover how far a person will go to posses her and her gift she’s left with no other choice but to run. She follows her best friend  (Jefferson) from their hometown in Georgia to the west coast of California.  The trek across the U.S was not a trip that anyone took lightly. From the treacherous deserts, disease, dehydration to the lack of food, most people didn’t make it to the other side of what is now called Nevada. Meeting people and making friends along the way, Lee realizes that not everyone her group’s as friendly as they seem. Find out what Lee and Jefferson have in store for them in “Walk On Earth A Stranger”!

“Walk On Earth A Stranger” is the first book in the Gold Seer trilogy.
