#5. North Of Beautiful By Justina Chen

Posted: by Jaydon on November 9, 2016

Hey Readers! Here it is everyone, the final book on my fall reading list! It's getting pretty cold outside and it the perfect book to cozy up with. Keep an eye out for my next reading list (the early winter edition!) If you haven't already, don't forget to subscribe to my blog!

#5. North Of Beautiful By Justina Chen

I loved this book down to the last word! What I got from this book is that true beauty is what’s under the surface and like true north, it’s a constant.  Beauty that’s on the surface doesn’t last and what we consider beautiful changes with the new style that’s “in”.  So, in a nutshell, forget about looks, it’s what’s on the inside that counts. Pardon the pun but, never judge a book by its cover.  I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Everyday Terra Cooper covers up the port-wine stain on her face that she’s had since she was born, with different medical cosmetics.  She plans to get into the college of her dreams and to leave her small town behind as well as her over controlling father, Grant, and submissive mother, Lois. Terra runs, snowshoes and works out to keep her figure so that she has control in at least one area of her life. One night she runs into Jacob (literally), a boy who’s travelling with his entrepreneur mother. After talking for a while, they realize they have a lot in common. With that comes a friendship and it’s not just them, Norah, Jacob’s Mom and Lois are becoming good friends too. Find out what Terra, Jacob, Norah and Lois have in store for them in “North of Beautiful”!   Available via interlibrary loan!

Happy Reading!
