Reel History: Celebrating the Town of the Blue Mountains in Film

Thursday, April 19, 2018 7:00pm - 8:00pm
Location: L.E. Shore Gallery, 173 Bruce St. S, Thornbury

In 2017, the Craigleith Heritage Depot commissioned three short films featuring historical aspects of the Town of the Blue Mountains. Each film provides a quick visual tour of Indigenous history, the apple industry and the ski industry.   Locally based Mountain Goat Film Company in collaboration with the Craigleith Heritage Depot produced the films, which includes the museum artifact collection, and interviews with community members. The entire project was funded by individual donations overseen by the Craigleith Heritage Depot Museum Advisory Committee with assistance from the Blue Mountain Watershed Trust Foundation.
On Thursday, April 19th, the Arts Advisory Committee will present  a special public viewing of all three films at the L. E. Shore Memorial Library and Gallery, 7:00 pm.  There is no cost or pre-registration.  All are welcome!
